New Delhi: Prices of petrol and diesel have been hiked with effect from 16th March midnight. Petrol will now be Rs 3.07 / litre more expensive while diesel by Rs 1.90 / litre.
Fuel prices were last revised on February 29, around a fortnight back when the Finance Minister Jaitley presented the Budget for 2016-17 in the Parliament. Petrol price on that day was reduced by Rs. 3.02/litre while for diesel was increased by Rs. 1.47/litre.
Revised rates for a litre of petrol in the four major cities will be Rs 59.68/litre in Delhi; Rs 63.76 in Kolkata; Rs 65.79 in Mumbai, and Rs 59.13 in Chennai, as mentioned by IOC.
