New Delhi: Prashant Bhushan will formally lead Swaraj Abhiyan which will continue to exist as a non-electoral campaign even after formation of a new political party, its spokesperson said on Saturday.
“We will announce a new political party, an instrument for electoral intervention on the auspicious day of Gandhi Jyanti on Sunday. We will announce the new office bearers and share how the new party will be different from other political parties in India,” said its national spokesperson Anupam.
“We will also discuss our future challenges and plans apart from the vision and charter of new party,” he added.
Swaraj Abhiyan, formed by former Aam Aadmi Party functionaries Yogendra Yadav, Prof Anand Kumar, Ajit Jha and Prashant Bhushan after they were expelled from the AAP after it won the Delhi Assembly Election in 2015, will continue to work on public issues, he said.
